Raised in Austin, Texas, Kyle felt the pull to return home from New Mexico in 1998 to launch his own Criminal Defense practice. Since returning to Austin, Kyle has handled numerous criminal cases – Murder, Assault, Sexual Assault, Indecency/Injury to a Child, DWI and other Alcohol Related Offenses, White Collar Crimes, Drug Offenses, Property Crimes and many Juvenile Court matters. With his extensive experience as a DWI Prosecutor, Kyle draws on this knowledge and courtroom practice to vigorously defend his clients charged with DWI and Alcohol Related Offenses. Kyle has found great success in using his previous prosecution trial experience to avoid the necessity of trial in all but a small percentage of his cases--meaning his and the client's view of the case (and responsibility) has been conveyed to the prosecutor and has convinced the prosecutor to accept their view-- therefore, voiding the need for a trial.
Kyle was admitted to the Federal Bar, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas in 2002. Since that time he has defended a variety of Federal Crimes to include: Production and Possession of Automatic Weapons, Smuggling of Narcotics from Mexico to the U.S., Possession of a large amount of Narcotics, Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography, Distribution of Controlled Substances in Federal Facilities, Possession of Firearms and Narcotics by a Felon, Bank Fraud, Wire Fraud, Mail Fraud, Mortgage Fraud and Conspiracy to Defraud Federally Insured Financial Institutions.
Kyle has earned a reputation for being zealous, thorough and tireless in the defense of his clients. He makes himself available 24 hours a day and affords his clients complete accessibility and personal attention.
